Students Taking a ’9 Month Mission Trip’

Posted by on Aug 10, 2011 in Blog

The new school year is coming soon! Why not challenge your students to make this school year a 9 Month Mission Trip. Why? Because if they can live for Christ at school they can do it anywhere! If they can live their faith at school, you know that it is genuine.

What is the 9 Month Mission Trip Workshop?
It’s a 2-3 hour (your call) presentation/discussion/strategic planning session to empower your students to see and make this coming school year a 9 Month Mission Trip – going to school everyday to share Christ with lost friends. We’ll talk about creative ideas for sharing your faith on campus individually and working with other Christian students. We’lll also cover the legal aspects of doing so.

What is required of host churches?

We ask for the following…

- A room that can hold at least 25 students

- A projector/screen with sound system that a laptop can be plugged into

- $100 honorarium

We encourage you to invite other church youth ministries in your community/area be invited to participate (you may charge a registration fee to help cover your costs). We also encourage you to provide breakfast or lunch but that’s up to you. We will provide notebooks and other resources as available.

Who will be presenting the material?

Travis Deans and Peter Malik are the primary presenters though they may be accompanied by another youth pastor or student as the occasion permits. Travis and Pete have been equipping Christian teenagers to share their faith for 50 combined years and they draw their presentation from a wide variety of sources.
